Preparations for the mega Eldoret rally that will be graced by Deputy President William Ruto have been finalized.
Political leaders in the North Rift region are now asking locals to turn up in large numbers and attend the rally.
The rally will be held at the Eldoret Sports Club.
Addressing a media briefing, the leaders, among them Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, MPs Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Janet Sitienei (Turbo), and Caleb Kositany (Soy) said the Eldoret rally will be used as the official launch of the DPs presidential campaigns.
They said, during the rally, DP Ruto will be given blessings to go round the country to seek the presidential votes.
“We have agreed as leaders in this region that this is a rally for the DP to talk to wananchi and explain the Bottom Up economic model in detail. We will give him more time as it is his rally,” Mandago said.

“It will be important for every Kenyan to come out here and listen with his own ears what Ruto plans for this country,” he added.
It is estimated that at least 30,000 people will be attending the Eldoret Rally.
“Tomorrow’s function is for us to release the president to go and seek votes for other Kenyans. We will give the DP ample time to expound and explain the Bottom-up economic model,” said Soy MP Caleb Kositany.
“As leaders in the North Rift, we know his track record, we don’t need to be told, this rally is basically to give him blessings to go out in his journey for the presidency,” added Sudi.
At least 90 legislators from across the country have already confirmed their attendance at the mega rally.
Hundreds of aspirants seeking various elective seats on a UDA ticket will also be present.
The aspirants have already agreed to put aside their local differences and focus on ensuring the success of the Eldoret rally.
