Drama as Auctioneer Storms Access Bank Eldoret over Ksh500 Million Debt

There was drama outside Access Bank in Eldoret town after an auctioneer attempted to take away some equipment over an alleged Ksh500 million debt that the bank owes a lawyer.

Customers who were at the bank, located at Hughes Building, Uganda Road, were left in confusion following the incident, with a lawyer claiming that the financial institution, previously referred to as Trans-National Bank had failed to pay him the money.

The debt is said to be part of legal fees for an ongoing case involving the Access Bank over land ownership row in which the lawyer who sought anonymity is representing them at the Eldoret High Court.
