The Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (Eldowas) has announced a planned interruption of water supply to a number of residential estates within Eldoret town.
A notice shared on Eldowas social media pages indicates that the interruption is to allow for routine maintenance on the Chebara Treatment Plant.
The water interruption will be between Wednesday and Thursday.
“This is to notify our esteemed customers that the water supply from Chebara Treatment Plant to UG County environs will be interrupted on Wednesday 9th March 2022 from 9.00 am to Thursday 10th March 2022 at 4.00 pm. The interruption is to allow for routine maintenance,” Eldowas said in the notice signed by Managing Director Peter Biwott.
“The other water treatment plants will be operational during the period of interruption of the supply from Chebara. We apologize for the inconveniences caused,” added the Eldowas MD.
Areas that will be affected include;
- Kimumu, University of Eldoret and their environs
- Marakwet Farm, Kapchumba, the upper part of Maili Nne and their environs
- Munyaka, Kapsoya, Action and their environs
- Rift Valley Bottlers and their environs
- Upper Elgon View, Eldoret Polytechnic, Annex, Langas, Racecourse, Kapseret, and their environs
- Chepkanga, Marura and their environs
- Kamukunji, Mwanzo, Old Uganda Road and their environs
- All customers along Chebara-Eldoret Pipeline
