‘In Few Months We Will Defeat Kiburi Na Madharau’, DP Ruto Says After Visiting Dennis Itumbi In Hospital

Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday visited his Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi in hospital.

Itumbi has been in hospital, receiving treatment following his recent alleged abduction and torture by individuals DP Ruto and his allies claim were police officers.

Following the visit, Ruto shared photos of him with Dennis Itumbi, sharing some light moments from the hospital bid.

In a post on his Facebook page, the DP said Dennis Itumbi’s abduction was part of a wider scheme targeting derailing his 2022 presidential bid.

Ruto is considered among the front runners to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, and his bid has faced opposition from a section of politicians.

Spent time with Comrade DI last evening, saw his heavily bandaged arm and legs, the result of torture by people who should have been there to protect him and us all,” the DP posted on his official Facebook page.

“They have now turned violent and fatalistic after all the negative narratives, threats, and blackmail against us failed,” he added.

The country’s second in command further revealed that Dennis Itumbi will remain in the hospital for at least a month to nurse injuries sustained as a result of torture.

He however noted that Itumbi is strong and in high spirits.

“They wanted to kill his spirit but DI is strong and in very high spirits though doctors say he will be confined to bed for a month,” Ruto said in the tweet.

But despite the threats and blackmail towards his presidential bid and allies, DP Ruto who is leading the ‘Hustler Nation’ is optimistic they will soon come to an end.

He challenged all that believe in his dream for a future Kenya to remain strong.

“Like Denis, we all must be strong knowing that in a few months we will defeat impunity, entitlement, kiburi na madharau and free our nation for good,” DP Ruto said in the tweet.
