Private schools in Uasin Gishu County continue to perform well in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations.
In the recently released KCPE results for 2022, the top candidate in the county came from Little Lambs – a school-based within Eldoret town.
The candidate Ryan Korir scored 425 marks to emerge top in Uasin Gishu.
Little Lambs also had 38 candidates with over 400 marks with an impressive mean of 380.18 marks.

“It was not easy to register such an impressive result because we had limited time interacting with our candidates. It is because of discipline among both learners and teachers that we have managed to get these results,” said Maurice Otiende, Headteacher of Little Lambs.
Other top-performing candidates in the school were Ruto Faith (412 marks) and Abigael Chelimo who scored 402 marks.
Queen of Angels Mission School is another private school that performed well.
Its top candidate had 423 marks with 28 other candidates also scoring over 400 marks.
“We achieved the results because of cooperation amongst teachers, pupils and the whole staff,” said Sister Hedwig Wayongo, Headteacher of Queen of Angels.

Hill School also performed well, with two of its students ranking among the best-performing in the county.
Its top candidate Noreen Cheptoo scored 421 marks with Cheron Lauryn coming second with 420 marks.
