Moi University fraternity is mourning the death of two of its professors.
According to separate messages of condolences shared on the university’s official Facebook page, the Kesses-based institution has lost Prof. Justus Wamukoya and Prof. Timothy Sulo.
In the message from the Vice-Chancellor Prof Issac Kosgey, Prof. Wakukoya was described as a distinguished academic, eminent scholar, erudite, and doyen.
Until his demise, Prof Wamukoya was a professor of Archival Science and dean School of Information Science at Moi University.

“He leaves behind a legacy in the field of archival science with his inspirational and thought-provoking teaching style and a multitude of scholarly publications,” said Prof Kosgey in a message shared on Facebook.
He added that; “On his character, he will be remembered as a warm and inspiring professor. Loved by all, he was truly dedicated to his students and his job.”

Prof Sulo on the other hand served as an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Resource Management.
He also served as a pioneer dean School of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

The Moi University VC, in his message of condolence, described Prof Sulo as “a friendly, approachable, and unassuming as ever, a foundation of knowledge modesty impaired.”
“Prof Sulo was a blessing for us all, an everlasting encouragement to think, work and be good,” added Prof Kosgey.
