MTRH Commits to Continue Offering Quality Healthcare Services

The Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) will continue guaranteeing quality specialized healthcare services to Kenyans from all walks of life, Board Chairman Sitoyo Lopokoiyit, has said.

He reiterated that the MTRH Board will continue lobbying for more resources to retain the highly-trained and qualified staff at MTRH besides recruiting additional specialists to expand the range of services offered to our patients.

Sitoyo made the remarks during a Board Retreat being held at a Nakuru Hotel.

The Retreat is focused on adopting the 2023-2028 MTRH Strategy and deliberating on other strategic issues. The theme for the Retreat is The True North, Purpose and Strategic Positioning of MTRH: “Lessons from the past and continual improvement for the future.”

He observed that the process from strategy formulation to execution should be seamless so the objectives can be realized.

In his remarks, MTRH CEO Dr. Wilson Aruasa appreciated the Board for providing strategic direction, support, and guidance to the hospital’s Leadership.

Great leaders across the globe are conscious of three core processes; people process, strategy process, and operations process. MTRH will thus utilize its limited resources, for Human Resources for Health (HRH) with the right skills set, adopting and sustaining quality management systems as well as investing in the right medical equipment and emerging technologies,” Dr. Aruasa said.

He added that MTRH will continue on the journey of realism by setting clear goals and following them through in an environment where Board, Management, and Staff share a common purpose, Exceptional Healthcare Service Delivery.

The CEO affirmed that the MTRH Strategy document 2023-2028 has incorporated input from all individual staff and stakeholders.
