We wanted to increase engagement with the media and also try to understand the gaps in information that the media has between us,” she said.

During the forum, the journalists were also trained on election reporting with a focus on how to handle challenges during the electioneering period, and the need to provide a platform for Special Intrest Groups (SIGs).

We’re trying to get the engagement with the community and let them tell us what they feel about the political parties and what they expect as we gear towards the general election,” noted the ORPP North Rift coordinator.
