Reale Hospital’s Dr Erick Ruto Elected New KNCCI President

Dr Erick Ruto has been elected the new Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) President.

Ruto, who is also the founder of the Eldoret-based Reale Hospital won the seat in the election that was held on Thursday.

He garnered 291 votes to win the influential position, beating his competitor incumbent Richard Ngatia who had 208 votes.

The Reale Hospital founder has been serving as Ngatia’s deputy since he was elected in 2019.

He now ascends to the KNCCI’s top seat, with his running mate Mustapha Ramadhan automatically becoming the organization’s Vice President.

Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim took to his social media pages to congratulate Dr Ruto for the win.

Interest of the business community

In a post on his verified Facebook page, Chelilim further said he looks forward to working with him in championing the interest of the business community.

Congratulations to Dr. Eric Rutto on your remarkable triumph in the just concluded Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Presidential elections, surpassing incumbent Richard Ngatia with a resounding mandate of 291 votes against Ngatia’s 208 votes,” the Governor said in part of the post.

As the newly elected KNCCI President, alongside Mustapha Ramadhan as your deputy, we look forward to collaborating with you to champion the interests of the business community,” he added.

Reale Hospital is a level 4 private health facility located in Elgon View Estate, Eldoret along Nyerere Road off Kapsabet Road.

 

The hospital also runs three clinics in Eldoret CBD, Kapsabet and Karbanet towns as well as Utawala in Nairobi.
