Construction works for a new Trans Nzoia County headquarters building in Kitale Town are complete.
The building which is set to be the new office block for the county, including the governor is ready to be occupied.
Reports indicate that the County Government of Trans Nzoia will hold a prayer service on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, to bless the new county headquarters, which will soon be occupied by the executive.
On Monday, July 21, 2023, the County Secretary, Truphosa Amere, and the Governors Delivery Unit (DGU) officers led by Director Samuel Ereng, led a team of executive members in inspecting the new building.

The team is inclusive of Amere, CECM Janerose Mutama, chief officers Sammy Sichangi (Governance), Philip Kapten (PSM), Joseph Wasike (Roads), Mwangi Wang’ondo (Public works) and Ereng.
How much was used on new Trans Nzoia County headquarters?
Trans Nzoia County Government has been constructing the modern facility worth more than Ksh 500 million. The project is aimed at streamlining service delivery and improving accessibility for residents by consolidating offices currently scattered across Kitale town.
The new headquarters includes a modern facility equipped with ICT infrastructure,enough packing space and a helipad.
Once the new building is occupied, the existing town hall is expected to be transformed into a public library, recreation park, and cultural center.

The Wednesday’s function will involve clergy from different denominations, the Governor, his executive, and MCAs.
Thereafter, the Governor is expected to occupy the second floor of the building, followed by other Town Hall staff members.
Other departments will be informed in due course about when they will move into their respective offices in the building.
