The completion of flagship road projects rolled out under the leadership of Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson Mandago has created linkages between rural and urban areas hence promoting residents’ economy.
This includes the construction of Box Culverts, Culverts, improvement of roads to bitumen standards, and maintenance of all-weather roads.
According to Mark Kipsang and Harun Kosut of Ng’eny village, Segero Barsombe ward in Soy Sub County, the construction of Cheukta-Ng’eny Box Culvert has solved the problem of perennial flooding that led to the destruction of crops and hindrance to the movement of goods and services in the area.
The bridges include Kaprorio-Kapchesogor (Sergoit ward) and Saina Box Culvert (Kapseret/Simat ward), Cheukta-Ng’eny(Segero/Barsombe ward), Chepsaita-Ng’enyilel Box Culvert (Ng’enyilel ward), Kabitoi -Tendwo (Tembelio/Kaptagat ward), Kapsaos-Kapkoros (Kapsaos ward), Kapkeno -Timor (Ainabkoi/Olare ward),Kamoson in Ngeria ward, Chelasgei-Kapkoros bridge in Karuna/Meibeki ,Bodalands – Chelabal Box Culvert in Ngeria ward and Kamoson box culvert in Kapseret/Simat.
