Video: Singer William Getumbe Releases Visuals for His Latest Song ‘Tingiza’

Popular Eldoret-based Gospel singer William Getumbe has started the new year with a bang.

Getumbe who last year teamed up with energetic counterpart Embaramba for the song ‘Nyonga’ has released a new music video.

The video for his latest single ‘Tingiza’ premiered on the online video-sharing platform – YouTube on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

In an exclusive interview with Uasin Gishu News, the singer who is also a counselling psychologist and a pastor said the song encourages Christians to sing and dance for Jesus until their clothes come off – as was the case with King David.

Christians must stop pretending they are dancing and praising God while they remain affixed like posts in church,” Getumbe says.

Produced by BillGates Records, the ‘Tingiza’ video is full of energy with female dancers shaking their bodies to the tune.

But as he released the song asking Christians to dance for Jesus, Getumbe hits out at the current mode of worship that is seen in most churches.

The church today is very conservative. We are so modernized to an extent when it comes to  God’s things, we do not praise and worship God in his presence,” Getumbe said.

“David sang until clothes came off and nobody complaints, but for us we’re busy pointing an accusing figure at those that dance for Jesus with all their heart and mind,” he adds.

Please take a look at the video and share your comments on what you think about it.
