Uasin Gishu independent gubernatorial candidate Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop Buzeki has conceded defeat.
Buzeki was seeking to be the county’s second Governor.
But following final results announced on Thursday night, the billionaire businessman took to his social media pages and admitted that voters made their choice.

“The great people of UG have spoken. Your decision has been communicated at the ballot.We had our say of Uongozi ni sera, but the majority have had their way through universal suffrage,” he posted on his verified Facebook page.
Buzeki, whose campaign tag was ‘Uongozi ni Sera’ also congratulated the winner – UDA’s Jonathan Bii Chelilim alias Koti Moja.
He pledged to support him.
“With official results announced by IEBC last night, I take this opportunity to congragulate the Governor elect as he takes over leadership, in addressing developmental needs of our people. Uasin Gishu needs all of us in order to move foward. You have our support and prayers as you take over this noble task. We wish you well,” he noted in the Facebook post.

The billionaire businessman, making his second stab at the Gubernatorial seat, also thanked his supporters.
He pointed out that even though he lost in his bid to succeed Governor Jackson Mandago, whom he lost to in 2017, he will continue contributing to community’s social economic needs.
“To my supporters, I thank you so much for your overwhelming support and believe in tai ole tai ideologies. We won the ideological War, but lost the election battle. We will continue contributing to our Community’s socio economic needs where we can,” Buzeki said.
In the official results, Koti Moja garnered 214,036 votes to win the seat against Buzeki’s 127,013.
