Sudi had over the weekend told Mandago to shelve his Senatorial ambitions and join Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential campaign trail – utterances that have since sparked a political storm.
Even though the upcoming general election is expected to be held on August 9, 2022, as per the constitutional provision, the country has already witnessed intense campaigns from all key presidential aspirants.

During an interdenominational funds drive in Chebolol, Kesses constituency, attended by DP Ruto, politicians allied to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) called for locals to only vote for aspirants that will be vying for the seat using the party.
