The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has named Francis Kimanzi as the interim Harambee Stars Head Coach.
FKF, in a statement on Wednesday, December 25, 2025, further said John Kamau and Zedekiah Otieno will deputize Kimanzi.
Former Kenyan international goalkeeper Arnold Origi has been appointed goalkeeper coach, while Mikael Igediah will oversee fitness technology.
Wycliff Makanga and Noel Mandi will serve as the team doctor and physiotherapist, respectively.
“The appointments are temporary as the recruitment process for the official national team coaching staff continues,” FKF said.
The country’s football governing federation revealed the new technical bench ahead of the Mapinduzi Cup scheduled for 3rd to 13th January 2025.
Kimanzi, a former Harambee Stars coach has already started his work by unveiling a provisional squad for the tournament.
The team, consisting of experienced and emerging talents, is set to enter the residential camp on 28th December 2024.
This preparation is part of a broader plan to give local players exposure ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.
FKF Deputy President McDonald Mariga said the Mapinduzi Cup is key in preparing the team for CHAN.
“The Mapinduzi Cup offers our local boys a perfect opportunity to prepare for the upcoming CHAN tournament, and this is why we have honoured the invite.
