Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi on Saturday, June 20, 2026, handed over two modern homes to veteran musician Mzee Andrea Chamdany in Kericho County, fulfilling a promise made during Pastor Kimeto’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Mzee Chamdany, known for songs such as ‘Rirenech Oh Kwandanyo‘, received the houses in a ceremony that the MP described as the completion of a lifelong circle.
“From the days I sat by the fireside as a child, I never imagined I would one day stand beside him, building walls and a roof for his comfort. What began as childhood admiration has now come full circle,” Sudi said.
The MP said Mzee Chamdany’s music had preserved community stories, taught values to children, and given courage to families in hardship.
“Artists like him plant seeds in the soul of a nation long before the rest of us understand their worth. It is only right that we return the gift now,” he added.
