MPs Visit RIVATEX and Eldoret KCC, Discuss Operational Challenges

The National Assembly Departmental Committee on Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, chaired by Ikolomani Member of Parliament Benard Shinali has concluded a fact-finding mission to two key industrial establishments in Uasin Gishu County.

The Committee conducted inspection visits at Rivatex East Africa Limited in Kapseret Constituency and the Eldoret New Kenya Co-operative Creameries (K.C.C) plant in Ainabkoi Constituency on Friday, August 1, 2025.

During the tour, Committee Members held separate consultative meetings with the top management of the two factories.

The discussions focused on operational challenges, investment and growth opportunities, strategies to enhance their productivity and sustainability of the key sector of the economy.

Earlier in the day, the delegation paid a courtesy call on Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii at the County Headquarters.

The team was received by area legislators Samuel Chepkong’a (Ainabkoi) and Nominated MP Joseph Wainaina, who joined the Governor in welcoming the visiting Members of Parliament.

After the Uasin Gishu visit, the legislators, head to Bomet County for a visit to the Sotik New K.C.C plant.
