Myot Council of Elders emeritus chairman Major (Rtd) John Seii has landed a new role in the Kenya Kwanza government.
Seii, a vocal opinion leader in the North Rift region, is among several appointments that have been made to various state corporations.
In a gazette notice dated February 24, 2023, Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba appointed the emeritus Myot Council of Elders chairman to be a member of the Board of the Kenya Cultural Centre Council.

He will serve in the role for a period of two years.
According to the gazette notice seen by Uasin Gishu News, Mjr (Rtd) Seii’s appointment takes effect from February 24, 2023.
He was appointed alongside seven others members.
The seven are Abdirahim Farah Jari, Moses Mulomi, Afzal Esmael, Douglas Kasimu, Pauline Morine Nagila, Jenifer Koikai, and James Bassy.

The Kenya Cultural Centre was founded in 1952. It has grown to become the premiere cultural hub for the country and beyond.
Meanwhile, the Kenya Cultural Centre hosts four fully equipped spaces for artistic, cultural and corporate shows and events.
The four are the Kenya National Theatre (Main Auditorium), Ukumbi Mdogo, Cheche Gallery and the Dance Studio – all of which are vibrant all-year-round with a myriad of activities.
However, the Kenya National Theatre is the most commonly known in the country.

It is mandated to offer space for the rehearsal and staging of productions to both local and international repertoires.
