Kapseret: Joy As County Solves Major Road Problem In Inder Village

/

Residents of Inder Village in Simat-Kapseret Ward, Kapseret Sub-County, are celebrating a major breakthrough after the administration of Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii completed extensive rock filling, drainage works, backfilling, and compaction along the Inder-Forest road.

The improved road now connects the community to Kapkiruk ECD, Tuiyo and Kapseret Primary Schools, and Ndemu Cattle Dip.

During a celebration held in the area to mark the achievement, residents—led by Thomas Birech (popularly known as Faster Faster) and David Chemoror—expressed their gratitude, noting that the road had been impassable during the rainy seasons.

For over 20 years, locals were forced to travel more than nine kilometers to access essential social amenities.

But thanks to the completed works, they will now cover less than one kilometer.

We are happy to see Governor Dr. Bii fulfill his promises to our community. The road will make it easier for us to engage in meaningful economic activities. We are truly grateful,” said Birech.

Uasin Gishu County Executive Committee Member for Roads, Transport, and Public Works, Dr. Abraham Serem, and Chief Officer Geoffrey Tanui, who inspected the project and later attended the celebration, thanked residents for their continued support.

They reiterated Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s commitment to delivering services across all wards.

Other ongoing road projects in the ward include the Ng’aniat Box Culvert and St. James Box Culvert, among others.
