Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, presided over the commissioning of the Tawheed Mosque and Islamic Centre in Eldoret City.
The CS was later the Chief Guest at the 11th Graduation Ceremony of Al Hayat Islamic Integrated School.
According to Duale, the Tawheed Mosque accommodates 800 male and 500 female worshippers and includes an Islamic school.

He also inspected the ongoing construction of a nine-storey commercial and residential waqf building for Jamia Mosque Eldoret and other mosques in Uasin Gishu County.
Speaking during the event, Duale, together with other leaders, emphasised the importance of unity, peaceful coexistence and harmonious living.
He also urged residents to reject leaders who promote division along ethnic or religious lines.

In addition, the CS highlighted the critical role of religious education in shaping character and nurturing a society built on integrity and mutual respect.
What Duale said about Prophet Owuor’s alleged healing of HIV patients
Meanwhile, Duale cautioned preachers against making unsubstantiated claims about healing.
He stressed that matters of health and life must remain grounded in science, ethics and evidence-based medicine, even as we respect the role of faith in our communities.

The CS was responding to claims by the Repentance Holiness leader, David Owuor, that he healed HIV patients.
The healing reportedly took place during the recent crusade in Menengai, Nakuru.
Duale was accompanied by several political and religious leaders, including President William Ruto’s aide Faruk Kibet, Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim and Abdisirat Khalif (Nominated MP), among others.
