Breakdown of Registered Voters in Each of the 30 Wards in Uasin Gishu

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has finally released a list of voters that will be participating in the August 9 poll.

IEBC made public the list following an audit of the voter’s register by the KMPG.

While releasing the final list of eligible voters, IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati said the number had risen from 19,611,423 in 2017 to 22,120,458 for the upcoming general election.

In Uasin Gishu, there will be 506,138 voters spread across six constituencies that will be participating in the poll.

Data released by IEBC shows that Turbo Constituency has the highest number of voters at 120,202, followed by Soy with 92,702 voters.

Kesses Constituency has 77,942 voters while Moiben has 77,877 votes.

Ainabkoi Constituency has the lowest number of voters within Uasin Gishu County with 62,606 votes, followed by Kapseret (74,809 voters).

In terms of distribution of voters in each of the 30 wards, Huruma is leading with the highest number of voters at 31,660, followed by Kiplombe (26,347 voters).

Kimumu ward has 25,044 voters, ranking third in the number of registered voters.

Megun ward in Kapseret Constituency has the lowest number of voters at 8,159.
