According to the Committee, a total of 53 houses will be constructed, with 31 units in Biretei and 22 units at Murkutwa Junction in Chesongoch. County survey teams are currently on the ground marking beacons to facilitate proper settlement and allocation.

The Committee further reported that a similar process will soon be rolled out for victims in Sambirir and Embobut/Embolot Wards, while construction works are already ongoing in Kibendo and are expected to be completed soon.

Residents living in landslide-prone areas have been strongly advised to relocate to safer grounds to prevent further loss of life and destruction of property.
