Freedom Air has officially launched its new Nairobi-Mombasa flights, marking a significant addition to regional air travel.
The airline will operate the route three times a week using the efficient CRJ-200 aircraft, enhancing connectivity between the two major cities.

The launch reception held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Moi International Airport was honored by notable guests including Mombasa County Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, Mombasa County Executive Committee Member for Tourism Mohamed Osman Ali, Freedom Air Chairman Abdikadir Ali, and airline’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Captain Mahad Abshir.
Kenya Airports Authority was represented by KAA Board Directors George Ngugi and Fred Kabunge, Regional Airport Manager Coast Region Abel Gogo, General Manager Security Services Joseph Okumu, and JKIA Operations Manager Walter Agong.

The latest development is expected to boost tourism and business travel in the coastal region.
It also supports Kenya’s ongoing commitment to expanding its aviation sector and regional accessibility.
Freedom Air Nairobi-Mombasa route flight comes days after RwandAir resumed its flights to the Coastal airport.
