The County Government of Trans Nzoia will construct a car wash where all county vehicles will be cleaned.
Deputy County Secretary George Kisaka on Tuesday, February 16, 2026, said the facility will improve time management and reduce inconvenience caused when drivers seek the service elsewhere.
Kisaka made the remarks at Westside Hotel on the outskirts of Kitale Town after a meeting with county drivers organized jointly by the county and national governments.
“The car wash is very important, as per your request. I will liaise with the appropriate departments to seek a supplementary budget to put up the facility,” said Kisaka.

He also pledged that, with the support of the County Human Resource Directorate, he will ensure that drivers who are due for promotion receive their promotions without delay.
The deputy county secretary however asked the drivers to help in supporting Governor George Natembeya’s administration.
He said there is need for them to continue upholding good manners and discipline saying this will enhance a smooth running of their day to day activities.
The drivers, led by Justus Kasembeli, had asked the county government to construct a car wash and address delayed promotions after stagnating in one job group for a long period.

They also called for an improvement in other welfare issues.
Chief Administrator Stella Soita urged the drivers, like other public officers, to follow the proper channels individually in order to be considered for promotion.
