Uasin Gishu County Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works is expected to hand over the current status reports of all completed and ongoing projects in the county.
The report will be handed over to Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim on Thursday, March 12, 2026, by County Executive Committee Member Abraham Serem, together with Chief Officer Geoffrey Tanui.
The Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works, through its Public Works section, is mandated to guide and supervise development projects implemented by other departments.

The exercise forms part of Governor Bii’s initiative to ensure speedy completion of projects, value for money, and enhanced service delivery.
During a recent engagement, the Roads CO and Director of Public Works Eng. Benjamin Kirongo tasked the team of quantity surveyors, mechanical engineers, architects, electrical engineers and building inspectors to ensure all reports and records are ready before presentation to the governor.
The CO emphasized the importance of close supervision and the need for timely reports, which must be disseminated to all client departments and other relevant stakeholders.

“This assignment will require you to submit updated monthly reports and all records for flagship projects. Those reports must also be open and accessible to the public. Let us continue working as a team for success,” said Eng. Kirongo.
