Independent Presidential aspirant Reuben Kigame on Thursday, July 7, 2022, unveiled his manifesto.
This is even as he waits for a High Court ruling in a case in which he is challenging a decision by IEBC to lock him out of the presidential race.
In his manifesto dubbed Jenga Mkenya, Kigame listed several areas that his government, should he win the August 9 poll, will focus on.
Among the key pledges contained in his 8-point manifesto is the provision of free primary and secondary school education for all children living with a disability.

The veteran gospel musician is also promising to invest in the modernization of the children’s education through a public-private partnership.
He also plans to institute a government-sponsored lunch program for all pupils and students in arid and semi-arid areas, as well as those in informal settlements.
In a bid to address the runaway corruption, impunity and debt management, the independent presidential aspirant says he will address them by among others empowering EACC with prosecutorial powers.
Kigame is also promising to strengthen judicial systems through increased funding to speed up investigations.

“Providing a 90-day amnesty period for returning of corruption-related proceeds followed by confiscation of assets” is another way he seeks to address graft in the country.
“The cure to our loss of funds which averages Ksh2 billion per day is to employ people with proven values and then broaden our tax collection avenues as well as increase our foreign exchange,” Kigame said during the manifesto launch in Eldoret town.
The gospel musician is among several independent aspirants that IEBC locked out of the presidential race.
He is however still optimistic that the courts will rule in his favour and allow him to be on the ballot.
Other areas of his manifesto include addressing food security through the allocation of Ksh35 billion for food production, Ksh12 billion to farmers for fertilizer subsidy and hiring 12,000 trained health practitioners.
The independent presidential aspirant has also pledged to lower food and fuel prices, reduce Value Added Tax (VAT) to 14 per cent within 12 months of being in office and increase funding to counties up to 25 per cent.
