The donation was part of a medical camp that which was held at Murgor Primary School, Kesses Sub-County.

Received and presented maternity packs donated by the MPesa Foundation, led by Director Karen Basiye, and 4Life Solutions to Kesses Sub-County Hospital and Plateau Mission Hospital,” the legislator said in a post on her Facebook page.

Over 2,500 people turned up for the free medical camp.

Diagnostic trays, a fully-fledged laboratory, and telemedicine consultations with doctors from India were all available for the locals.

Patients requiring surgeries and further specialized treatment will be referred appropriately,” the National Assembly Deputy Speaker told journalists.

One of the most touching moments of the day came from the story of a 13-year-old girl suffering from a congenital heart condition.

Courtesy of the M-Pesa Foundation, the girl received an oxygen concentrator and arrangements were made for her to receive further treatment.

This is what impact looks like—changing the life of a child who has lived with a condition since birth,” the legislator noted.

Our goal is to bring healthcare closer to the people, especially in rural areas. We also focus heavily on maternal health because prevention is better than cure,” added Director of Sustainable Business and Foundations at M-Pesa Foundation, Carren Basia.
