Uasin Gishu County Woman Representative Gladys Boss Shollei has reported encouraging progress on the ongoing reconstruction of Plateau Primary School.
The project, a partnership between her office and the M-PESA Foundation, aims to replace ageing infrastructure that has served the community for over 60 years.
On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Shollei visited the site in Ainabkoi Sub-County to inspect the active construction work. She observed that the building efforts are advancing swiftly, with modern classrooms taking shape to replace the old, dilapidated structures, some of which were built with mud and were no longer safe.

“The work is progressing incredibly well. Very soon, these modern, comfortable classrooms will be fully ready for our pupils,” Shollei noted during her tour.
The initiative began two years prior when Shollei appealed to the M-PESA Foundation for support after determining the original buildings were beyond repair. Construction officially commenced on January 26, 2026. While the project is not yet complete, the rapid development signals a promising future for the school’s students.
“Asante sana M-PESA Foundation!” Shollei expressed her gratitude, highlighting the transformative impact of the collaboration on local education standards.
