The 25-year-old was stabbed on the left side of his neck, allegedly by his lover, Mercy Masika alias Nancy Faizah.
Masika is said to be a hotel waitress.

The officer who police have since identified as Linda Machuma Wafula was serving at the Kitale Women's Prison. She was of the constable rank.
