The County Government of Uasin Gishu on Thursday, April 23, 2026, hosted a team of healthcare workers from Mwai Kibaki Referral Hospital.
Dr. Einstein Kibet led the delegation that visited Burnt Forest Sub-County Hospital for a benchmarking and mentorship mission aimed at strengthening quality improvement systems.
The visit brought together quality improvement teams and administrators in an exchange forum focused on best practices in service delivery, patient care, and institutional management.

The engagement is part of ongoing efforts by the County Government to enhance efficiency, accountability, and patient-centered care across its health facilities.
Speaking during the mission, County Chief Officer for Clinical Services Ambrose Tarus, welcomed the visiting team and lauded the collaboration, noting that such partnerships are key to promoting continuous learning and professional development among healthcare workers.
He emphasized that mentorship and benchmarking provide opportunities for facilities to evaluate performance and adopt innovative approaches to improve healthcare outcomes.

“Feedback from patients and the public is critical in shaping how we deliver services. The systems put in place at Burnt Forest are worth emulating across our facilities, as they provide accurate, timely, and actionable information,” said Tarus.
He reiterated that quality improvement remains a central pillar in the county’s health agenda, adding that sustained efforts in mentorship, supervision, and adoption of best practices will significantly enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
On his part, Dr. Kibet commended the management and staff of Burnt Forest Sub-County Hospital for their commitment to delivering quality healthcare services.
