The Governor also said that through the department, the business advisory firm will soon be able to train and capacity-build the county’s youth so that they can access finances, venture into businesses, grow economically, and create jobs.

What does Uasin Gishu-Inkomoko MoU entail?

The MoU will see a framework of cooperation between the County and Inkomoko, and have joint trade and trade-related activities aimed at supporting MSMEs to achieve their set goals of improving lives and livelihoods through empowerment and entrepreneurial activities.

Inkomoko has been in operation in Kenya since 2019 serving both local and refugee entrepreneurs and supporting more than 20,000 MSMEs by providing businesses with training and consulting on growth,  financial management, sales, and operations as well as access to below-market-rate investment funds.

Kenya-Inkomoko Director for Business Growth Services Cynthia Ndeti noted that the partnership will maximize the opportunities that the organization has in place in empowering county  MSMEs.

We endeavour to provide MSMEs with much-needed funds, trade Expo initiatives among others to sustainably achieve thriving business in future to shape a lasting future of the communities,” said Ndeti.
