Residents and business people of Tarakwa Ward in Kesses Sub County have praised the Uasin Gishu County Government for its efforts to improve infrastructure through road rehabilitation and the installation of street lights at Kondoo trading center and the Koiwoarusen area.
Speaking during an inspection tour led by the County Roads executive committee member (CECM) Abraham Serem, the residents said the projects have started bringing new hope to the community by improving security, boosting business, and making it easier to carry out potato farming, which is the main livelihood in the area.

Some of the business people explained that the street lights will help extend business hours, while better roads are expected to ease the transportation of produce to markets.
CECM Serem emphasized Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s commitment to implementing Pillar No. 6 of his development agenda, which focuses on strengthening infrastructure to improve citizens’ lives.

“The county government will continue investing in quality infrastructure for the benefit of residents and the economic growth of our areas,” said Serem.
During the inspection, CECM Serem was accompanied by Kesses Sub-County Administrator Nelson Chepkwony and Roads Construction Officer Abraham Korir.
