Wacha Hangover Ya Ugavana! Buzeki Tells Mandago Over Bwalei’s Arrest

Billionaire businessman Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop Buzeki has challenged Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago to stop using the courts to get back and those that were against his political ambitions.

Buzeki claims Mandago is using his influence in the current government to prosecute his opponents.

This follows the Friday arrest and arraignment of Barnabas Bwalei, Buzeki’s campaigns director.

In a post in his Facebook page, the billionaire businessman who unsuccessfully vied for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat said politics are over and leaders should focus on serving the people.

In campaign periods nasty words are sometimes exchanged but when the contest is over people move on without picking petty quarrels and revenge,” he said in part of a lengthy post on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

How a whole Senator is now using his political might to get back to opposing camp into the courts is shocking. This is the same guy that is famous of siasa weka kwa lungs using the criminal justice system to punish those who opposed and exchanged bitter words with him,” added the businessman.

Buzeki speaks at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Langas on July 17, 2022.

It is still unclear why Bwalei was arrested but Buzeki hinted it was because of an SMS he sent to the Senator during the campaign period.

But even with his campaign director facing prosecution, Buzeki insists his team will not be cowed.

He described Mandago’s move to push for Bwalei’s prosecution as mere political antics.

Senator Mandago! Wacha hangover ya Kiti ya governor, you are not the sheriff in UG anymore,” Buzeki said.

We will not be cowed by your antics, we are not soul losers…” he added.

Bwalei is said to have been Mandago’s classmate.

Political attacks

While hitting out at Mandago, Buzeki noted that he had never pursued an individual despite facing attacks during the 2017 and recent elections.

Buzeki’s campaign vehicle that was attacked before August 9, 2022.

In both elections, Buzeki’s convoy was attacked, but says he let it go after the political season ended.

In 2017, my convoy was stoned and supporters attacked. Later the perpetrators came to me confessed and we forgave each other and moved on. I even sponsored some of them to driving school just to demonstrate genuine forgiveness,” he noted.

Following the declaration of the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial results, Buzeki conceded defeat and pledged to support the winner – Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim alias Koti Moja.

It is the same pledge he made on Saturday as he accused the Senator of propagating hate, disunity and vengeance – ‘on closed doors’.

We are fully behind KOTI to succeed, we will help him get out of the Mess you deliberately Created in the last months of your reign, your diversionary tactics will fail,” said the businessman.
