150 Uasin Gishu MSMEs Trained on Financial Literacy, Market Access

Over 150 MSMEs in Uasin Gishu County have received financial literacy and market access training during a two-day forum held in Eldoret, equipping entrepreneurs with practical skills to strengthen and grow their businesses.

The training was organised by the Kenya Bankers Association in partnership with Micro and Small Enterprises Authority – MSEA and Equity Group Foundation.

The entrepreneurs were trained on financial planning, savings, access to credit, marketing, e-commerce and insurance.

Speaking during the forum, Moiben MP Prof. Phylis Bartoo, who was also chief guest, said supporting MSMEs is key to creating jobs and empowering young people and women.

Following the training, 30 businesses were selected for further mentorship and support to help strengthen their operations and scale their enterprises.

The forum was facilitated by Equity Group Foundation trainers Dickson Kirui and Beverly Chebii, with support from the KBA team led by Dr. Samuel Tiriongo (PhD), Roselyne Njino and Shaleen Wanjiru.
