Eldoret City is opening new opportunities for international investment following a high-level engagement with a delegation of Chinese investors, focused on partnerships that can accelerate the City’s transformation.
In one of the meetings with the Chinese investors, Uasin Gishu County and Eldoret City teams presented investment opportunities and areas of need across key sectors.
The sectors, include roads and transport, waste management, solar and smart energy, street lighting, sports, youth, innovation, technology and urban infrastructure.

Additionally, the presentations highlighted areas where strategic partnerships could create jobs, improve service delivery and drive sustainable growth.
At the same time, Wiscom Systems presented innovative Smart City and smart energy solutions, while Anhui Longvolt Energy Co., Ltd. showcased technological innovation in renewable energy, smart lighting and energy-storage solutions.
China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) also presented its expertise in construction, infrastructure development and innovative urban solutions, exploring potential areas of collaboration with the City.

The engagement reinforced Eldoret’s ambition to embrace technology, innovation, youth development, sports, sustainable energy and modern infrastructure as it advances its vision of becoming a secure, smart and investment-ready city.
“Eldoret is open for business, ready for innovation and building a smarter, greener and more prosperous future,” a county official said.
