The Ministry of Education has released the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba released the results on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the AIC Chebisaas Boys High School in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
Of the 993,226 candidates, 1,932 scored straight As, while 270,715 scored at least a university entry grade of C+ and above.
507,131 candidates scored above C-, while 644,482 had a grade of D+ or higher.

- A (plain) – 932 (0.19%)
- C+ and above – 270,715 (27.18%)
- C- (minus) and above – 507,131 (50.92%)
- D+ and above) – 634,082 (63.67%)
“National schools produced the highest number of candidates with an overall mean grade of A (1,526), followed by Extra County schools (197) and Private Schools (185). Sub-County Schools produced more candidates in the category of C+ and above compared to County Schools, accounting for 72,699 and 36,600, respectively,” CS Ogamba said.
Meanwhile, results for 1,180 candidates were cancelled after they were found to have been involved in exam malpractice.
How to check 2025 KCSE results
Following the release of the 2025 KCSE exam results, CS Ogamba said they can be accessed online through a link on the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) website: results.nec.ac.ke.
Candidates will be required to enter their index numbers and at least one of their names.
