The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, has conferred the CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award 2025 on three East African Presidents.
Kenya’s William Ruto, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda received the CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Awards during the CAF Awards 2025 ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique on November 19, 2025.
Speaking at the event, Dr Motsepe thanked the three Heads of State for their commitment and dedication to the growth and also the development of African Football.
This follows the successful hosting of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship in the three countries.
The 2024 TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship was rated as the most successful CHAN in the recent history of the competition.
The success of TotalEnergies CAF CHAN PAMOJA 2024 represented a major milestone for African football, underscoring the power of collaboration between African governments, CAF Member Associations, as well as regional institutions.

The CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award has previously been bestowed upon several distinguished African Leaders whose contributions have had a transformative impact on the game.

- 2023:
- 2024: President Paul Biya of Cameroon and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt
- 2025: Dr William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda.
