Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich and Nandi Deputy Governor Dr Yulita Chebotip Cheruiyot have urged students to be innovative and job creators instead of being job seekers.
The two spoke during the 14th graduation ceremony at the University of Eldoret on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
“Take the knowledge you have acquired to transform lives, create employment and be innovative in all your endeavours. As you step into this new chapter, remember to always put your best foot forward,” the Rotich said.

They also congratulated the graduands and urged them to use the knowledge they gained to change society.
“We want our students to stand out and be our ambassadors and should avoid corruption at whatever cost,” he added.
The county boss also urged the Ministry for Education to increase funding for them to carry out their business at ease.
On his part, Nandi Deputy Governor urged the students to be disciplined so that they become role models to others who are younger than them.
