Carrefour Prepaid Card: KCB Bank Partners Carrefour Kenya, Mastercard to Unveil New Payment Solution

KCB Bank Kenya has partnered with Carrefour Kenya and Mastercard to launch the Carrefour Prepaid Card, a payment solution designed to help customers better plan, manage, and control their grocery spending.

The prepaid card enables customers to set grocery budgets, track their spending, allocate funds for household essentials, and enjoy exclusive Carrefour discounts, cashback offers, and rewards.

It also provides a convenient way to support loved ones by allowing the card to be reloaded using any bank card from anywhere in the world.

Speaking during the launch, Christophe Orcet, Regional Director – East Africa at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, said the card will help customers shop smarter, giving them simple, predictable tools for managing everyday essentials.

What is Carrefour Prepaid Card?

The Carrefour Prepaid Card allows customers to plan their grocery spending, stay in control, and manage household budgets with confidence, while enjoying the convenience of card payments. This is part of Carrefour Kenya’s broader commitment to making everyday shopping simpler and delivering greater value to our customers,” Futtaim said.

Commenting on the collaboration, John Wagacha, Head of FMCG, KCB Corporate Banking Division, said the cars will help reduce reliance on cash.
