Eldoret came alive on Friday, February 7, 2025, as Coca-Cola’s returnable glass bottle campaign brought excitement ahead of the Athletics Kenya National Cross Country Championships.

Residents gathered to celebrate and relive the nostalgia of enjoying Coca-Cola in its classic glass bottle, a symbol of shared moments and refreshments for generations.

The nationwide campaign, currently running across Kenya—including Nairobi, Eastern, Western, Nyanza, Coast, Rift Valley, and Mount Kenya—aims to revive appreciation for the iconic returnable glass bottle.

For the past three months, Coca-Cola teams have been engaging communities, inviting consumers to rediscover the joy of drinking Coca-Cola in glass.

In Eldoret City, Uasin Gishu County, residents had an opportunity to interact with the Coca-Cola company and share great moments as they enjoyed the product.

The Coca-Cola Company has rekindled the long time memories, I am very happy to have sipped the tasty Coca-Cola from a glass bottle, it is a very relaxing feeling,” said Jefferson Oduor, a resident of Eldoret City, Uasin Gishu County.

Another resident, Eunice Ogachi said, “I have been longing to this day to drink my favourite Coca-Cola soda during the caravan and want to ask residents of this county to experience the feeling”.

Which areas have Coca-Cola caravans been to?

Since January, Coca-Cola caravans have toured Rift Valley counties, making stops in Kericho, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Bomet, Baringo, Elgeyo Marakwet, and Narok.

Through interactive events, residents have been reconnecting with the brand’s heritage and the timeless appeal of its returnable glass bottles.

Priced as low as KES 20 for a 200ml bottle, the returnable glass option remains an affordable and familiar choice for students, families, and social gatherings.

More than just a beverage, Coca-Cola in a returnable glass bottle is a cultural touchstone that has brought Kenyans together for decades. Whether enjoyed ice-cold or at room temperature, it continues to evoke cherished memories of togetherness.
