The state and the family of the former Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut have agreed on the burial date.
According to Enoch Chepkut, brother to the late legislator, the burial will be on October 18, 2022.
Chepkut who served as MP between 2017 and 2022 will be buried at his home in Kapsundei village, Ainabkoi Sub County.
“A moment ago, the state has confirmed that burial will be on October 18 here at Kapsundei,” Enock told the press.
Burial plans have already commenced with several leaders on Monday visiting to condole with the family.

This is even as the body of the former MP is expected to be subjected to a postmortem on Tuesday to ascertain the cause of his death.
Chepkut died on Saturday, after what the family said he collapsed while in his house in Nairobi.
He was confirmed dead upon arrival at a hospital in Parklands, Nairobi.
Uasin Gishu MPs visist Chepkut’s home
On Monday, several Uasin Gishu leaders visited the family and affirmed their commitment to working together to give the former legislator a decent send off.
“We want to assure the community that we are together in this difficult time. We will walk the journey together so that we give him a send off that befits his status,” said Moiben MP Prof. Phyllis Bartoo.

Kesses MP CPA Julius Ruto said Uasin Gishu and a country as a whole will miss Chepkut whom he said played his legislation role with passion during his tenure.
“He was o hilarious and everyone used to laugh even before he started speaking in Parliament. MHe mingled well with the people and had his own style of leadership,” added Turbo MP Janet Sitienei.
The late MP was in 2017 elected to parliament as an independent candidate but failed to get re-elected in the recently concluded General Election.
He lost the seat to former MP Samuel Chepkonga that had vied on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket whom he had beat in 2017.
Prior to joining politics, Chepkut was a long-serving personal assistant to former powerful cabinet minister he late Nicholas Biwott.
