M-Pesa Foundation to Finance Plateau Primary School Infrastructure Improvement Project

M-PESA Foundation has officially begun improving infrastructure at Plateau Primary School in Uasin Gishu County.

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss on Monday, January 26, 2026, presided over the groundbreaking for the project.

Boss who is also the Uasin Gishu County Woman Member of Parliament said current structures at the school are 60 years old.

Following the groundbreaking for the project, the school is now set to get state of art structures with demolition for old ones already ongoing.

The project is expected to be completed in 8 months.

Grateful beyond words and very humbled for having officiated the groundbreaking of the Plateau Primary School infrastructure improvement project in Ainabkoi Sub-County, powered by M-PESA Foundation,” the legislator said.

All the existing structures will be demolished followed by the construction of a brand new state-of-the-art complete school which is projected to be completed in 32 weeks,” she added.

The event was also graced by M-Pesa Foundation chairman Joseph Ogutu.
