The County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet has announced 100 vacancies for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) caregivers across its 20 wards.
In an external advertisement dated 20th August, 2026, the County Public Service Board invited applications from qualified, results-oriented and self-motivated Kenyans to fill the posts in the Department of Education and Technical Training.
The positions are on a 3-year contract with a consolidated remuneration of Ksh. 18,000 per month.

The vacancies are spread across all four sub-counties:
Keiyo North: Kapchemutwa Ward (Kapkures, Kendur Central, Bugar Special School, Iten Deaf School, Iten), Emsoo Ward (Birng’onyo, Kiptoit, Kokwopsingo, Kermuk, Kabulwo), Kamariny Ward (Kapcherop, Kaptilit, Chebonet Water Supply, Sergoit, Katelal), Tambach Ward (Kuriot, Kaptel, Kamokos, Kaplis, Kaptomonger).

Requirements to apply for Elgeyo Marakwet ECDE caregivers job
Applicants for the caregivers job must have a KCSE certificate minimum grade D+, a Certificate in ECDE from KNEC/MOE or other recognized institution, with a Diploma being an added advantage.
They must also be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), have a certificate in computer applications and First Aid, and for applicants to Iten School for the Deaf, a certificate in Kenya Sign Language Interpretation.
Duties include class teaching, guidance and counseling, preparing reports, ensuring safety of learners, organizing play learning activities, and managing ECDE classes.

The Board said only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and successful candidates will be required to satisfy Chapter Six of the Constitution. It warned that submission of false or forged documents constitutes a criminal offence.
