Harambee Stars Set for CECAFA Four Nations Cup Test in Tanzania

Harambee Stars will take part in the CECAFA Four Nations Cup scheduled for July 24–27, 2025, at the Karatu Stadium in Arusha-Tanzania.

The tournament will serve as a crucial preparatory platform ahead of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which is set to be hosted in East Africa.

The four-team competition brings together regional competitors Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Sudan in a compact tournament that offers teams an opportunity to fine-tune their tactics and assess squad depth ahead of the continental showpiece that exclusively features locally-based players.

Harambee Stars will begin their campaign with a stern test against hosts Tanzania on Thursday, July 24, in the second fixture of Matchday 1.

Earlier on the same day, Uganda will face Sudan in the opening match of the tournament.

The format of the competition is straightforward: the winners from Matchday 1 will face off in the final on Sunday, July 27, while the losing sides will contest the third-place playoff earlier on the same day.
