Infrastructure Improvement Continues In Uasin Gishu

The County Government of Uasin Gishu has completed several mega infrastructural projects being implemented under the Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works.

Some of the projects that the Governor Jonathan Bii-led County has completed include significant road projects among them Ketiplong-Bindura Box Culvert in Tulwet Chuiyat Ward, Kesses Sub County and Koisagat-Kapsabul Box Culvert in Segero Barsombe Ward, Soy Sub County.

Other roads have also been improved to bitumen standards, alongside other complimentary works such as stormwater drains, and culverts.

Roads County Executive Committee Member, Engineer Joseph Lagat, revealed that the projects spread across all wards will improve connectivity and solve the problem of flooding in areas such as Jasho, Rehema, TairiMbili, Moisbridge, Kimumu and Kuinet.

Residents around the areas such as Kipkaren, Kiplombe and Marakwet Farm where county engineers, inspectors and surveyors inspected completed and ongoing projects have since praised the county for the projects.

They say the roads have not only opened up their neighborhood but also enhanced security.
