The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has opened applications for its September 2026 intake, inviting qualified candidates to apply for pre-service and in-service health training programmes.
In an announcement on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, KMTC said applications for pre-service programmes are being received through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPs) portal.
“Pre-service programmes are now open for application through the KUCCPS Student Portal,” the college stated.
The application deadline is 11th August 2026. Applicants can apply at https://students.kuccps.net.
Applications for in-service and upgrading programmes are being handled through the KMTC Admissions Portal at https://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke.
KMTC’s national reach: How many courses does it offer?
KMTC is the country’s largest middle-level health training institution. According to the college, it currently offers 126 medical courses at certificate, diploma, higher diploma and short course levels.

The college has 92 campuses spread across 46 of the 47 counties, a network established to bridge human resource gaps for health and support Universal Health Coverage. Its student population now stands at over 80,000 as of March 2026.
KMTC CEO Dr Kelly Oluoch said in April that the expanded course catalogue and flexible entry pathways are designed to widen access to medical training while strengthening graduate employability both locally and abroad.
The 126 programmes include certificates, diplomas, higher diplomas and short courses in Clinical Sciences, Nursing, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, Diagnostic Sciences and Health Records among others.

- In-service/Upgrading: Apply via the KMTC Admissions Portal at https://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke.
KMTC urged applicants to read course requirements carefully and ensure applications are submitted on time, noting that placement will be done to any of the 92 campuses nationwide.
