Uasin Gishu Set to Receive over KSh 53 Million AMPATH Assets in Major Healthcare Boost

The County Government of Uasin Gishu is set to receive medical assets worth over KSh 53 million from the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) at an official handover ceremony scheduled for Friday, further strengthening the long-standing partnership between the County Government and the health organization.

Speaking during a briefing ahead of the handover, Health Services County Executive Committee Member Janet Kurgat hailed the collaboration between the county and AMPATH, describing it as a partnership that has transformed healthcare delivery over the years.

Kurgat commended AMPATH for its continued investment in the county’s health sector and pledged that the County Government would continue working closely with the organization to improve healthcare services.

Our relationship with AMPATH has grown into a strong and enduring partnership. We appreciate their unwavering support and remain committed to working together to strengthen healthcare services and improve the well-being of our residents,” she said.

Clinical Services Chief Officer Ambrose Tarus, accompanied by Ag. Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Health Dr. Billy Lubanga, reaffirmed the county’s commitment to sustaining the partnership long into the future.

The duo noted that Uasin Gishu will continue leveraging AMPATH’s expertise by embracing innovation, research, and modern approaches to healthcare delivery.

Ampath transfer of assets to Uasin Gishu County

Chairperson of the Handover Committee, Laban Kiplagat, said preparations for Friday’s exercise are complete, noting that the transfer of assets marks another milestone in the successful collaboration between AMPATH and the County Government of Uasin Gishu.

He expressed confidence that the assets will further strengthen service delivery across county health facilities and enhance access to quality healthcare for residents.

The official handover is expected to cement the long-standing relationship between AMPATH and Uasin Gishu County, with both parties expressing optimism for continued collaboration in advancing quality, accessible, and sustainable healthcare.

The CECM also hosted Rodic Consultants private limited ,a prominent Indian infrastructure and engineering consulting company, Specializing in project management and tech-led solutions led by Dr Nishant Sagar.
