KUCCPS Reopens Applications for KMTC Courses

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened applications for pre-service courses at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the September 2026 intake.

The reopening gives those who missed the earlier application period, were not placed, or wish to pursue a career in healthcare another chance to apply through the KUCCPS portal.

KMTC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Kelly Oluoch welcomed the move, saying it would allow more qualified young people to access health training and contribute to Kenya’s health workforce.

Each student we train adds to the health workforce needed to serve communities across the country. We encourage eligible applicants to review the available courses and apply while the vacancies are still open,” Dr. Oluoch said.

Applications for Higher Diploma and upgrading programmes also remain open through the KMTC Admissions portal for health professionals seeking to advance their knowledge and skills.

Applicants are encouraged to check the relevant portal for available programmes, entry requirements and application timelines,” KUCCPS said.

It also asked applicants to rely on official KUCCPS and KMTC communication channels for accurate admissions information.

Application is open for only 22 diploma and certificate courses. Other programmes were filled during the first KUCCPS application that ended on August 11, 2026.

Successful applicants will report to their respective KMTC campuses this September.
