The County Government of Uasin Gishu has officially flagged off the “Leseni Mashinani” initiative, a grassroots revenue mobilization campaign aimed at enhancing service delivery and strengthening engagement between the county government and residents.
The launch was held at Uasin Gishu Service Center, presided over by the County Executive Committee Member for Roads and Public Works, Dr. Abraham Serem, who represented Governor Jonathan Bii.
Dr. Serem described the occasion as a significant milestone in the county’s development agenda.

“Today marks an important and honourable day for Uasin Gishu. This initiative positions us as the nerve center of transformative service delivery. ‘Leseni Mashinani’ is not just a program—it is the key to unlocking sustainable local revenue,” he said.
Dr. Serem emphasized that the county government, under Governor Bii’s leadership, is committed to public participation and inclusive governance, noting that the initiative brings services closer to the people.
County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Economic Planning, Micah Rogony, lauded the efforts of the implementation team and underscored the importance of the exercise.
