The Permanent Presidential Music Commission (PPMC) has announced county-wide auditions to select musicians and creatives to perform during the 2026 Mashujaa Day Celebrations.
Auditions will be held in Uasin Gishu, Nandi, and Elgeyo Marakwet counties throughout August 2026, targeting talented individuals from each county and its environs.
Mashujaa Day Auditions for Uasin Gishu County
In Uasin Gishu, PPMC will conduct auditions daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. starting Friday, 21st August.
The schedule is as follows:
- Friday, 21st August: Soy Sub-County, Ziwa Sub County Office
- Saturday, 22nd August: Moiben Sub-County, Sergoek Vocational Training Centre, Moiben Waunifor
- Sunday, 23rd August: Ainabkoi Sub-County, Ainabkoi Sub-County Office Waunifor
- Monday, 24th August: Turbo Sub-County, Turbo Sub-County Office Juakali
- Tuesday, 25th August: Kesses Sub-County, St Thomas Catholic Parish, Cheptiret
- Wednesday, 26th August: Kapseret Sub-County, Kapseret Sub-County Office, Kapseret Centre
- Thursday, 27th August: Metropolitan Centre, Home Craft, Pioneer, Eldoret City
When will Mashujaa Day auditions for Nandi, Elgeyo Marakwet be held?
Auditions in Nandi will run from 15th to 20th August across six sub-counties including Tinderet at Taptengelei Integrated Technical and Trainers College, Nandi Hills at Samoei Boys Senior School, and Emgwen at St Peter’s High Class Academy in Kapsabet.
Elgeyo Marakwet County: 8th to 12th August 2026
Elgeyo Marakwet auditions are scheduled from 8th to 12th August in Kerio Valley, Marakwet East, Marakwet West, Keiyo South and Keiyo North sub-counties.
Requirements for Permanent Presidential Music Commission auditions
PPMC says all applicants must carry their original National ID or Passport. The commission further notes that by attending, participants consent to being photographed, filmed and recorded for promotional, cultural and archival purposes.
“Are you a talented musician or creative from Uasin Gishu County? This is your opportunity to audition for a chance to perform during the 2026 Mashujaa Day Celebrations,” the commission stated.
Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Elgeyo Marakwet counties will co-host the 2026 Mashujaa Day.
